Samsung is preparing to enter the clip-on earphones market through its upcoming model, which the latest leaks indicate will be called “Galaxy Buds On,” reversing previous expectations that suggested it would be called “Galaxy Buds Able.”
According to Android Headlines, the leaked images revealed the design of the headphones in black, amid speculation that the company will offer multiple color options. This design is similar to models currently available in the market, such as “EarFun Clip 2”, “Baseus Inspire XC1”, and “Anker Soundcore AeroClip”.
For its part, the “Notebookcheck” technical platform reported that the new headphones rely on open “air conduction” technology to transmit sound instead of bone conduction. This technology relies on small speakers directed to broadcast sound and vibrations directly into the ear canal, allowing users to hear the sounds surrounding them. In contrast, the headset will not include a noise cancellation feature.
Reports also indicate that the headset will support control via head gestures to perform specific functions. So far, this information is limited to the leak format, as Samsung has not made any official announcement about the speaker, nor has it set a date for its official launch on the market.
