The Public Relations Directorate at the National Social Security Fund announced that the Director General of the Fund, Dr. Mohamed Karaki continues his approach based on transparency and openness, by informing public opinion of the most important reform steps and executive procedures in the financial, medical and service fields.

Karaki stressed that the health sector is still occupying the priority position in the work of the fund, pointing to the efforts made to update medical acquaintances and securing the continuity of payment for hospitals and doctors, in order to preserve the rights of the content and ensure that they obtain decent and sustainable health services.

Karaki revealed that the preliminary results of the disease guarantee branch and motherhood until September 30, 2025 showed that the fund “takes the path of recovery”, as the value of health offerings from the beginning of the year until the end of September amounted to 3842 billion Lebanese pounds, an increase of 212% over the year 2024, which reached 1811 billion pounds.

The fund’s statistics also indicated that the value of medical forms outside the hospitalization paid to the guarantees amounted to about 1020 billion pounds since the beginning of this year, an increase of 224% over the year 2024.

In the context of accelerating the payments, Karaki issued on October 6, 2025, three new decisions (960, 961 and 962 numbers) issued financial predecessors to hospitals and doctors as follows:
– 32 billion pounds on severed surgical works by 60%.
– 46 billion pounds for non -severed hospital (medicine).
– 27 billion pounds on seized surgical works by 75%.

Karaki stressed that the fund administration is continuing to accelerate the pace of payment within a least not exceeding week in most cases, calling on the content and health authorities to expedite the provision of their transactions according to the assets, and warning of any violations or violations “that may lead to the freezing of sulfate, the annulment of contracts or prosecution, in order to preserve public money and the rights of the content.”
