Google officially unveiled the new generation of Pixel phones during the Made by Google 2026 event, which includes the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold.
Although the new devices maintain a design close to the previous generation, Google has made a number of improvements to the cameras, processor, and charging speed, with a clear focus on integrating artificial intelligence and Gemini technologies into the use experience.
It includes the most important new and exclusive features at the beginning HiLight, Magic Capture, Camera Looks, Creator Suite, and Instant Night SightSome of these features will later arrive on older Pixel devices via Pixel Drop updates.
HiLight.. Notifications that are intelligently illuminated by “Gemini”
The HiLight feature offers a new way to use the phone’s LED lighting, as it turns into a notification light that can glow when calls come in or while the phone is responding to Gemini commands.
You can also customize a specific color of light when favorite contacts are connected. The feature remains exclusive to the Pixel 11 Pro phones, due to its reliance on LED components that are not available in older devices.
Magic Capture… extracting images from video
Magic Capture allows you to turn video moments into high-quality still images, relying on on-device artificial intelligence and Gemini models.
The feature can extract 12-megapixel images, automatically selecting the best frames, reducing blur and performing the necessary cropping so that the images are ready to be shared.
Camera Looks.. Greater control over the appearance of photos
Google gives users wider options to control the visual processing of images through the Camera Looks feature, which allows you to choose the style of the image before taking it.
Basic styles include Natural, Shadows, and Vanilla, with six other options: Digi, Black Tie, Minimal, Editorial, Classic, and Velvet.
Creator Suite.. new tools for content creators
Google targets content creators with its Creator Suite tools, which include a Teleprompter to display text on the screen while filming, in addition to organizing clips into folders designated for projects.
It also provides a Storyboard tool for arranging, cutting, and editing clips, with the ability to set video mode to be the default option when opening the camera application.
Instant Night Sight.. faster night photography
Google has also developed the Night Sight photography technology, as it says that the new Instant Night Sight feature is capable of taking photos in low light at a speed of up to 4.5 times compared to previous generations, which reduces the need to hold the phone steady for a long period during photography.
Additional benefits include the possibility of using Circle to Search and translate directly from the camera appallowing for identifying and searching for objects and translating texts without leaving the shooting experience.
Google began receiving pre-orders for the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, and Pixel 11 Pro XL on August 12, 2026, with prices starting from $899 For the basic version,$1099 For Pixel 11 Pro, and$1299 For Pixel 11 Pro XL.
